Bambuco’s work for the city of Bitche in France was in conjunction with the Festival de Jardins Éphémères. Bambuco created an improbable suspended garden overlooking the roundabout at the entrance to the city. In collaboration with local gardeners, the bamboo structure was intertwined with climbing plants such as ipomoea, wisteria and creeper roses. 
                Willy Nilly & Willy Nilly was to be Simon Barley’s last project. He died suddenly in August 2007 at his home in Natimuk.
